"യവനിക" രണ്ട് വർഷം മുമ്പാണ് കണ്ടത്. 40 വർഷം മുൻപ് ഇറങ്ങിയ സിനിമയായിട്ട് പോലും ഇപ്പോഴത്തെ fast-paced സിനിമകൾ കണ്ട് ശീലിച്ച എന്നെ പിടിച്ച് ഇരുത്തി. കുട്ടിക്കാലത്ത് കണ്ട പടമായിരുന്നു ലേഖയുടെ മരണം ഒരു ഫ്ലാഷ് ബാക്ക്. നന്നായി ഇഷ്ടപ്പെട്ട സിനിമ ആയിരുന്നു അത്.

Probably the most sincere friend in Malayalam cinema might be Balan. Without expecting anything in return. Like Oduvil's Achyuthan Nair in Sandesham. Though in cinema, it's so good to watch characters like that.
