    Default Phoenix - My review

Saw the movie from Savitha Film City Kannur.

Njan kanda screen relatively low capacity screen aayirunnu..engilum that was full for the show I watched

    Personally I loved the movie.

Oru puthiya sthalathekkum oru puthiya veetilekkum Sthalam maari varunna Adv John and his family and avaru neridunna horror elements aanu first half full.

Horror elements adikam illengilum ullathu valare captivating aayittu edukkan pattiyittu undu. Kind of situational horror. Aju varghese as Adv John njan ithu vare kandittillatha oru serious character. John'm wife'm thammil issues undu pakshe athu ellam John'nte attitude'l ninullathanu ennu manasilakki tharunnundu in the first half. The intermission scene was really good. First half really enjoyed.

Second half'lanu ee horror elements'nte pinnile flashback varunnathu. That is a romantic angle. Verum romantic angle alla..enikku Personally oru haunting romantic angle aayi thonni which I really enjoyed. Pakshe appozhekkum first half'l build cheythu kondu vanna horror elements takes a backseat completely. But avoiding that the second half also I really enjoyed.

Especially of note is the character of Freddy played by Chandu Nair who was also Present in Pappan. Loved his performance.

Last climax shot was brilliant in its execution. Really gives an impact as you leave the theatre.

Ithile Midhun Manuel Brilliance evideyanu evident ennu chodichal enikariyilla...didn't feel like his usual touch.

Nevertheless the movie is definitely worth a watch. Don't know about its final BO verdict

NB - ee film kazhinjappo thottu "ithu pole feel thanna oru movie very etho undu" ennu manassu parayundayirunnu..as I wrote the final part of this review that movie came to my mind.

    EZRA

Enikku personally bhayanara ishtapetta movie aayirunnu...Phoenix has similarities to that movie somewhere mostly the haunting romantic angle
