Raayan

Raayan's first half is a masterful achievement, boasting meticulous world-building, a tension that simmers with precision, and a show-stopping interval block that delivers a dramatic payoff. Despite a premise that's been explored before, the screenplay's intricate detail and clever plotting in the first half ensures you're thoroughly invested in the story. However, the film loses momentum in its second half, relying on familiar genre tropes and introducing contrived conflicts that disrupt the narrative's flow. The initial promise and engaging setup make the missteps in the latter half all the more noticeable, leaving a sense of unfulfilled potential.

While imperfect, Raayan shines with captivating energy, boasting a stellar ensemble cast, sharp direction from Dhanush, and impressive technical prowess, making it a worthwhile watch.

Deadpool & Wolverine

Deadpool & Wolverine is a breath of fresh air in a Marvel landscape that has recently felt stale and underwhelming. While it's not a particularly high bar to clear, given the lackluster entries in the franchise of late, this film undoubtedly stands out as the most entertaining Marvel outing since No Way Home. The on-screen camaraderie between Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman is a dream come true, building on their well-documented off-screen friendship. Bringing them together for this film is a stroke of genius, and their undeniable chemistry propels the movie to new and exciting heights.
