Mani Ratnam - Karthik son / Silambarasan Project
Mani Ratnam is already thinking about his next project? Are all the big directors of the industry in a hurry to give us more films? Well, it does seem so, with reports of Mani Ratnam planning a bilingual one with Karthik’s son as the Tamil lead. It will be really interesting if Karthik’s son is indeed cast in the film. Perhaps the film will do to him what Mouna Ragam did to his father. On the other hand, the wind about Silambarasan being already selected for the project ahead of the first candidate is getting stronger, especially after he opted out of K.V. Anand’s Ko. Let’s wait and watch. But wait, let’s receive Raavan first.

Shankar - Siddharth project
This one might sound a bit premature. But, there are talks of Shankar having already planned his next film, along with his Boys find Siddharth. With Endhiran still in progress, one wonders how far the planning of Shankar’s next movie has progressed. Knowing his style of working, it is unlikely of him to start out in a big way on any new project until all existing commitments, especially a huge undertaking like Endhiran, are out of the way.

Kamal - KSR project
Yaavarum Keleer, that is the title the media has anointed upon the yet to be announced movie starring Kamal Haasan to be directed by KSR. If reports are to be believed, Kamal will be scripting for this flick which will be a full length comedy. There are also talks of Udhayanidhi Stalin doing his first major role in this movie which will be produced by Red Giant Films. Thaman Sai may get the first huge project of his career through Yaavarum Keleer.

Ajith - Gautham project
This one is almost confirmed. Gautham will be directing Ajith’s 50th film; now that is a cracker of a combination. Ajith is free from his Aasal commitments while Gautham will soon set VTV into theaters. That makes them free to work together on what will reportedly be a plot based on a sensational criminal case of the 80s with Ajith playing an investigative officer. Rahman might be scoring the music again.
