Jai was shooting on his birthday (April 6) with Simbu for Vettai Mannan at Binny Mills near Chennai airport.

Ilayathalapathy Vijay too was shooting on an adjoining set action scenes for his Velayudham.

STR and Jai were shooting some deadly action scenes using seven cameras and 60 stuntmen. Suddenly STR realized it was Jai birthday and wanted to cut a cake.

STR thought of inviting Ilayathalapathy, but he was a little hesitant as he doubted whether the star would come. Remember that STR and Jai are big supporters of 'Thala' Ajith ?

When Vijay came to know about STR's dilemma, he immediately said he is coming over "to celebrate Jai's birthday".

All of them had a blast and the loudest clap was when Vijay gave a piece of the cake to his look-alike Jai.

Prasanth's birthday falls on April 6. This year Prasanth has not celebrated it so far, as he is busy finalising the release date of his ambitious period film Ponnar Shankar.

The film which has an U certificate is based on Kalaignar Karunanidhi's novel with music by Ilaiyaraja is scheduled to release on April 8 or April 15, depending on the availability of screens.

Prasanth in an interview to a newspaper has said: "I will celebrate my birthday as soon as Ponnar Shankar releases. It is going to be a double bonanza".

The other release of the week is the eagerly awaited Prasanth's ambitiousPonnar Shankar, directed by his dad Thiagarajan. The film is based on a novel written by Kalaignar Karunanidhi, which should help
it to get a good opening in the election season. The film will hit the screens on Saturday, April 9.
