Aaranya Kaandam releases on June 10

One of the most talked about Tamil film in recent times, Aaranya Kandam is finally releasing on June 10.

The film had won Grand Jury Award for Best Film, at the prestigious New York International Film Festival.
The film written and directed by newcomer Thiagarajan Kumararaja, is produced by SPB Charan's Capital Film Works.

It stars Jackie Shroff, along with Ravi Krishna, Sampath Raj and debutante Yasmin Ponnappa and has music scored by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
The film was initially rejected by the Chennai regional censors.

It was butchered by the censors and given an 'A' certificate and SPB Charan went to the tribunal and got it cleared with some minor cuts.

Vikram to play dual role in Vendhan!

Vikram is starting his next film with Suseenthiran for producer Kanakaratna Ramesh.

It is tentatively titled as Vendhan and features Vikram, Deeksha Seth and Mithra Kurian in the lead roles.
The buzz is that Vikram was very impressed by Suseenthiran's script and his double role in the film. It is a "pucca commercial entertainer with daring action scenes". The film has music by Yuvan Shankar Raja.
In Vendhan Vikram will do a dual role as father and son. He has never done such a role before. In Shankar directed Anniyan he appeared in many get-up's due to the split personality of the character he portrayed.
The shoot of Vendhan will start from June 7 in Chennai.
