'Kaun Bange Crorepathi' is all set to capture Tamil audiences for Suriya Sivakumar's game show, 'Neengalum Vellalam Oru Kodi' will go on air come February 27.
This will be aired from Monday to Thursday at 8 pm on Vijay Tv.

Comedian ‘Vaalameen’ Muthuraja dies in a freak accident
Film-goers would hardly have forgotten the popular kuthu number Vaala meenukkum Vilangu meenukkum kalyanam … from Mysskin’s Chithiram Pesudhadi whichreleased in 2006? The song, sung by Ghana Ulaganathan and which had some great hip-gyrating dance movements by ‘item girl’ Malavika, remained on top of music charts for along time.
Viewers wouldn’t have forgotten theboy who held the mike for Gana Ulaganathan in that song? Muthuraja , the young comedian who became hugely popular after that song, died in a freak accident in Theni yesterday. Thanks to the song’s huge popularity, Muthuraja started going places in Kollywood and had acted in over 50 films within a short span of time.
In between his humour-filled roles, he played almost the second hero in the film Konjam Veyil Konjam Mazhaiby appearing throughout the film as his character was inter-woven through the script. He was also part of the successful film Kalavaani which starred Vimal and debutant Oviya in the lead.
Ironically enough, Muthuraja got married hardly a month ago. His marriage was held in his native village of K.K. Patti in Theni District. He was staying at his parents’ house along with his newly-wed wife. A couple of days back, he was cleaning the water-tank installed on the terrace of his two-storey house whenhe accidentally slipped and fell to the ground from the terrace.
He was rushed to general hospital at Madurai. Muthuraja had been heavily injured on the head and slipped into coma on Tuesday. Despite the treatment, he breathed his last on Tuesday night. He was cremated at his native place amid mourning by his relatives, friends and fans.

Bhanupriya’s car seized by RTO authorities
Remember Bhanupriya , who had paired up opposite almost all the leading heroes in the nineties except superstar Rajinikanth ? The dusky actress, who had chiseled features and a great figure to go along with it,starred opposite Rajini in the super-hit Thalapathy not as his romantic lead but in a small role. Now past her prime, she has started playing mother’s role in films.
The locals in and around Pollachi say that the police and the RTO officials are acting in connivance with tourist operators in Pollachi and Anaimalai. The tour operators rent out the cars and vehicles at abnormally high ratesand in particular, the rent they quote for artistes and film crew are beyond acceptable limits.
Those in the know use their own carsor cars of the locals. The film industry folks strike up friendship with the locals and use up their cars on daily rental basis instead of approaching the tour operators. The operators, who were at rage after seeing this, submitted a petition to RTO officials saying that renting individuals’ car on daily rental basis was affecting their ‘livelihood’.
Acting on the complaint, the RTO officials checked the cars entering Pollachi. At a random check, actress Bhanupriya, who had been to Pollachi to honour one of her shooting commitments, was found inone of the cars. The RTO officials seized the car after knowing that it wasn’t a tour operator’s vehicle and that a private vehicle belonging to a local individual. They then sent the actress back to her hotel room in a rental car.
Commenting on the incident, a shocked Bhanupriya says, “ This is highly condemnable; don’t we have the right to use vehicles of our choicein this country? Which rule says that we have to make use of only the touroperators’ vehicles? It appears that even if people come to these places in their own cars, they would have topark them at a parking lot and then take a car on rent; this is highly ridiculous!”

Shahrukh Khan And Jeeva in Vikrams David.!

Chiyaan Vikram’s Bollywood release David has got some new additions. The film was expected to go on floorslate January as promised by the actorhimself, but since director Bejoy Nambiar still needs to give a final call on the cast and crew, the shoots are yet to commence.
David has 3 heroes in the lead and while it’s obvious that Vikram dons the top lead, joining him in second league would be none other than actor Jeeva . The actor who is presently engaged with Gautham Menon’s Nee Thane En Ponvasanthamand Mysskin’s superhero movie Mugamoodi is excited to join Vikram for his Bollywood gangsta flick. The biggest news of all happens to be of Bollywood King Shahrukh Khan joining the team playing the third important lead. Director Bejoy has scripted the film in three segments and each segment has his selected 3 top leads, pulling out their stunts in style. Shahrukh who saw Bejoy’s debut release Shaitan was totally impressed and had no problems giving a positive nod to the young director . “Shahrukh will complete hispart of the shoots within 10 days”, says an insider. David also has beauties Tabu and the very sensuous Isha Sharwani pulling up the glamourquotient. The film will be shot using the Red Epic camera, currently used for Billa 2, capturing every miniscule detail to perfection.
The first shooting schedule for David will be held in Aleppey, Kerala soon.

Suriya Maatran in May






Director K V Anand has almost completed Maatran starring Suriya and buzz is that he is planning to release the movie in May.The movie brings together Ayan team – Suriya, K V Anand and Harris Jeyaraj.
kajal Agarwal plays Suriya’s heroine. With both Suriya and Kajal having a huge fane-base in Tollywood, plans are on to release the Telugu version of the film. Buzz is that the Telugu version is titled Duplicate.One of the big-budgeted venture, Maatran is being produced by AGS Entertainments.
