Lisa Haydon to debut in Tamil films opposite Jeeva!

We first hear that it would be actress Trisha who would be starring in Jiiva’s ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’ to be directed by Ahmed. Later however Trisha herself affirmed that she wouldn’t be a part of the project. Things changed again, and soon we heard that Trisha would indeed be seen in the film along with Jeeva .
And what’s more, Lisa Haydon, Bollywood actress has also joined the cast of ‘Endrendrum Punnagai’. In case you are wondering who Lisa Haydon is, let us remind you that Lisa is the model turned actress who had made her debut in Hindi films with ‘Aisha’.
Haydon is also a trained Bharatnatyam dancer and has trained with Shiamak Davar for five years. She was last seen in David Dhawan’s latest film Rascals with Sanjay Dutt, Ajay Devgn and Kangana Ranaut, where she essayed a role of a female escort and this would be the first time she acts in a Tamil film.

    NITIN’S TWIST IN THE FATE

The last time we spotted Nitinsathyaa on the big screen was in 2009 in Palaivana Solai. After a hiatus of almost two years, the actor is back with Mayanginen Thayanginen (MT). Directed by S T Vendhan (who has earlier directed the Shaam-Snehastarrer Inbaa), the film has Tamizh Padam girl Disha Pandey in the lead.
“It sounds clichéd, but I really haven’t been getting meaningful scripts. More than a hero, I want to establish myself as an actor and a performer. MT came to me at the right time. The film’s about the love a call taxi driver has for an operator who works in the same company. When the two decide to meet, the unexpected happens!” he says.
Tell him the story sounds equally clichéd, and he reveals, “The twist in the tale is that the flashback of the girl whom I fall for is inspired from a real-life incident. It’s about the sexual harassment that happens in mental asylums. Statistics prove such sexual abuse happens at a scarily regular interval in Chennai even as we speak. Vendhan chose to take up this issue, and instead of making it in a crude, documentary form, chose to give it a filmi touch.”

    HUNTING FOR THE RIGHT GIRL

Lady Luck seems to be shining bright on Ganesh Vinayak, who part-directed the Atharvaa-Amala Paul-starrer Muppozhudhum Un karpanaigal
before producer Kumar took over the project.
He has now been signed up by Dhayanidhi Alagiri’s production house for a film, which will star Arulnidhi in the lead.
Ganesh says, “The film is set in Madurai, and is about the lives of four friends — played by Arulnidhi, Pawan (who played one of the villains in Polladhavn), Dharun Shathriya (of Aanmai Thavarel fame) and Murugadoss (of Aadukalam fame). We will go on floors by June, and an official announcement will be made soon.”
While there were talks that Pooja was signed on to play the female lead, we now hear that the Naan Kadavul girl couldn’t allot the required dates in June as she’s shooting for Bala’s film.
The latest is that the makers are keen on roping in Parvathy Omanakuttan, who will debut in Kollywood with Billa 2, for the role.

    DUBBING DREAMS FOR DIPA

Looks like Dipa Shah is taking her career in Kollywood seriously. The girl, who debuted in Kollywood with Yuddham Sei, is busy wrapping up her second project, Sillunu Oru Sandhippu, in which she’s paired opposite Vimal. And the actress is training hard to get her diction right so that she can dub for herself in the film. Dipa says, “I’ve been learning Tamil for a while now, and have a tutor to help me with the language. I wasn’t able to dub for myself in my debut flick, but I’m keen on doing it in my next. And if I want to make a name for myself in the Tamil film industry, I’d better know the language now!” Meanwhile, we hear the actress is in talks to sign a film in Tamil soon. She’s also been getting scripts from Bollywood.
