Ayngaran International and Eros Multimedia are happy to announce that Super Star Rajnikanth and Showman of Indian Cinema Shankar along with the Mozart of Music A. R. Rahman are coming together once again after the success of Sivaji in our new film titled Robot. It will be a grand and entertaining film ever made in Indian cinema and will be produced in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and other languages. It will be a high-tech film with state of art technology. Director Shankar is at the moment finalizing all the other technicians for the film which will be announced shortly.

Eros International is an established global player in the fast-growing Indian media and entertainment arena and produces and commissions films like studios and distributes and exploits films across formats globally via cinemas, home entertainment, television formats and new media. Complaint against Kamalhasan!



The year 2008 starts off with yet another controversy, this time involving Kamalhasan and director/producer Sharan.

Sharan was the one who had produced and directed the Tamil version of 'Munnabhai MBBS', named 'Vasoolraja MBBS'. The film did very well at the box office and brought profits for everybody. Soon after this, Sharan had paid an advance of Rs 2 crores and signed Kamalhasan up for a new film that he intended to direct and produce. Kamalhasan demanded the distribution rights for some areas, which Sharan gladly gave away.

But, before he launched this film, he made another film in Tamil which flopped at the box office. Sharan was now in financial crisis and thought that it'd be better if he simply directed the new Kamalhasan starrer instead of producing it too.

So, Sharan found a producer who was willing to spend.

When Kamalhasan came to know about it, he wasn't happy because the director had changed the producer without even informing him and this would imply that he'll have to renegotiate the distribution rights that he had earlier asked for. So, Kamalhasan refused to star in the film and offered to repay the advance money.

Meanwhile, Sharan has now filed a complaint with the Producers' Guild seeking them to intervene and either get Kamalhasan to star in the film or return the advance.

'Kuruvi' fight



The name is 'Kuruvi' but the film is getting developed more like an eagle.



'Kuruvi' is an important film for Vijay. He should regain the name he lost with 'Azhagiya Thamizh Magan.' 'Kuruvi' is important for Dharani also as he has to surpass 'Gilli' victory and forget 'Bangaram' flop.

Recently, Vijay did a grand fight scene for 'Kuruvi.' For this, a bar resembling one in a five star hotel in Malaysia was put up at AVM Studios.


Vijay comes here daily to dance at the disco and the scene shows him fighting there with the villain's henchmen. The fight scenes in 'Gilli' were the talk of the town for months. Vijay wants the same of 'Kuruvi' fights, so he has taken risks to come up with super fight scenes.

'Kuruvi' will be released for Tamil New Year.

Ajith follows the foot steps of his mentor!




It seems that Ajith is trying to follow the foot steps of Rajini in real life too. After tasting success with the help of the Superstar in Billa-2007, now the actor abides to the instructions given by his mentor Rajini in real life too.

In the past, Ajith didn't like to wear any ornaments like gold or diamond. But now there is a golden bracelet and diamond ring glittering in the right hand of the actor. Sources close to Ajith told our correspondent that the actor is wearing the ornaments only after the advice of Superstar Rajini at the launch of Billa-2007. Now the actor invited Ajith to his residence on any one of his convenient day with his child and wife Shalini.

Ajith already told that Rajini gave him many tips to control his anger and presented a book The Himalayan Master to keep his mind with control and peace.

It is also gossiped that Ajith has already got the approval from Rajini to remake his yesteryear hit movie Thee in his style. According to the sources, Ajith will play both the roles of Rajini and Suman in the remake version.

Meera pairs with Jeevan




Finally, Jeevan's long time wish to pair with Meera Jasmine will be fulfilled through Payanigal Gavanathirku. Jeevan always expressed his wish to pair with leading actresses in all his films.



In Naan Avanillai, he acted with five leading heroines of the industry Namitha, Sneha, Keerthi, Jyothirmayee and Tejasree. But he had one unfulfilled wish that playing a role with Meera Jasmine, the actress known for her performance. He told his producers also to sign the actress for any one of his films.

Now the producer of Payanigal Gavanathirku has booked Meera Jasmine as the lady love of Jeevan. Debutant SA Vijay Kumar directed the movie and the shooting is going on full fledged.

Chief Minister to preside over Manorama's Golden Jubile




Manorama has been an inevitable marvel of Tamil cinema. Acted in more than 1500 films, 2008 will be the Golden Jubilee year for Manorama.



Manorama entered into films after her stage performance in 'Manimahudam' in 1958. Having acted along with Sivaji and M.G.R., she continues to render service to the art.

Manorama's Golden Jubilee function would be held at the Trade Centre in Nandambakkam, Chennai at 5.00 P.M. on 14th of this month. Chief Minister Kanudanidhi would preside over the function and deliver a special address.

Directors Balachander, Bharathiraja and Producers' Council chief Rama Narayanan are in the forefront of this function.

Her Golden Jubilee trophy would be handed over by Kamalhasan and Rajinikanth jointly.

The celebrations would include music concerts and entertainment events participated by actors.
