That was funny. The last film this pair did, was a good one. This one does seem like it has shades of 'Maine Pyar Kiya' 'Saathiya', 'Ramaiyya Vastavaiyya' and I hated 'I Hate Luv Stories' but here the cast might do the trick.

Grand Masti Has Very Good First Day


Grand Masti had a very good first day with business around the the 12 crore nett mark. It was the fourth highest opening day of the year after Chennai Express, Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani and Race 2.



The film was very good all over with slightly lower collections in West Bengal but even that circuit was still good overall. Rajasthan was huge with collections hitting the 1 crore mark in that circuit. The opening is also one of the highest ever for a comedy film with the highest being Ready at a little over 13 crore nett and a couple of other films collecting over 12.50 crore nett.



The film is set for a solid first weekend in the 35-40 crore nett range depending on what happens on Saturday. As the start was so strong the growth over the weekend may be limited.
