Shah Rukh Khan is currently shooting for an item song for Rakesh Roshan's Krazzy 4 and Hrithik Roshan, who will feature in another version of the same number, says this proves that there is solidarity in Bollywood.

"While I'm doing this for my home production, Shah Rukh is going out of his way for us. It just shows how much solidarity actually exists in the industry," Hrithik said. "Shah Rukh's version of the track will be a part of the film, my version will be used only for promotional purposes," Hrithik told IANS.

Hrithik, whose period romance Jodhaa Akbar is set to release Feb 15, cannot stop waxing about King Khan's gesture. "Shah Rukh, whose association with my dad's banner goes back a long way to King Uncle and Koyla, is being the portrait of graciousness," the Jodhaa Akbar star said.

"In mid-February, when my knee is fully healed and I get back to doing what I am best - action and dancing - I'll be performing the same item song as Shah Rukh (is doing) for my dad's production," he said.

But why the double delight? Won't the fact that Shah Rukh and Hrithik are dancing to the same tune invite unnecessary comparisons between the two? But Hrithik is sure such comparisons can be avoided.

"Though we are dancing to the same song composed by my uncle (Rajesh Roshan) and to the same choreographer Ahmed Khan's instructions, we'll bring our own body language and style into it. Besides, Shah Rukh doesn't need to dance. I do."

Sounding upbeat about his career's first item song, Hrithik said: "It's composed by my uncle and sung by Vishal (of Vishal-Shekhar). And it's the best dance track I've ever heard. I'm sure both Shah Rukh and I are going to have huge fun performing this item song."

Shah Rukh had earlier performed an item song for Karan Johar's Kaal with Malaika Arora Khan.

After Hours photographer Devendra Parab recounts how a ‘high spirited’ Salman Khan insisted he do some charity in exchange for clicking pictures

Those close to him never tire of explaining what a golden heart Salman Khan has, despite his much talked about eccentricities. And the beefcake actor showed both those traits at a recent party in the suburbs. The occassion was the birthday party of Amrita Arora, the sister of Salman’s bhabhi Malaika.

When Salman noticed that I was clicking his picture, he immediately rushed up to me and demanded that the snaps be deleted from the camera. In fact, he was so particular that he even stood beside me while I pressed the deleted button, just to be doubly sure.

He seemed satisfied but then suddenly asked me to hand him a Rs 100 note. Baffled, I said I didn’t have it. Then he asked me to hand out any note and I took out Rs 20. Pointing to a handicapped destitute on a wheelchair nearby, he directed that the money be handed over to him - though the man himself hadn’t asked for any money.

With the transction done according to his biddng, he smiled widely and his sullen mood just vanished in an instant. Not only did he offer to pose for me, he went the other way and called out to Shah Rukh Khan to join him for a photo-op!

Then, he was so glad with his little arrangement that he told the other photographers at the venue to donate money to the handicapped man if they wanted his picture.

“That’s the price for clicking my pictures,” he declared, adding a small warning: “You better make sure my pictures look better than Shah Rukh’s

Police bring back starry-eyed schoolgirls from tinsel town

Surat, February 1 A Day after two teenage girls bunked school and left for Mumbai to meet Bollywood star Salman Khan, the Randher police brought them back to the city. on Friday

The girls, students of MMP English School in Randher, are with their parents now.

According to the police, Anjum Mansoor (13) and Bushra Hafezji (14) left their homes for school on Thursday, but instead they headed towards Mumbai in Saurashtra Express from Surat railway station.

When the girls did not return home, their parents started searching for them and contacted the school only to be told that both were absent that day. The helpless parents then lodged a missing complaint with the police.

During investigations, the police found out from two classmates, Talha Nakhuda and Adil Shaikh that the four had planned to visit Mumbai together to meet the star.

On reaching the railway station, the girls tried to contact their friends on mobile phone, but found it switched off, the police said. When Talha called back on the number he had received a call from, a woman told him that two girls from the station had made a call from her phone before leaving for Mumbai.

"The girls had only Rs 1,000 when theft home and did not know where Khan lived. The duo waited for Talha and Adil to reach Mumbai in the hope that they would help them find Khan's residence," Rander's police inspector G B Patel said.

He said, "A police team from Surat left for Mumbai with the boys to bring them back. In the meantime, the missing girls once again called on their friend's mobile to inform them of their arrival at Bandra. The boy asked them to wait at the Bandra Terminal as they were on the way. On reaching there, the police found the two girls near a PCO booth on the platform."

The police handed back the girls to their parents after recording their statements.
