After the stupendous success of 'Bhool Bhulaiyya' Priyadharshan has been rated as the most favorite among the Bollywood directors for the production houses. He is continuing his winning streak for the last four years in which he had delivered more than six super hits.

Priyadharshan has entered into an agreement with a popular production firm to direct ten films in a row for them. He is the first director in the history of Bollywood to have entered into such an agreement with any of the production houses. The immensely successful directer has created such an image in a short while that the producers finds it very easy to believe in his endeavors.

"Many rumors are on in the industry about my new film that have Shahrukh in the lead. As far as my type of work is concerned, I don't bother to run after any super star for being in my films,'' says Priyadarshan, the most acclaimed director produced by Malayalam film industry.

''In Hindi, completing a film in an year itself is a big difficulty. But I had been able to create up to four films and get them released in an year. For all this , I owe much to Malayalam film industry which taught me to direct films in such a brisk pace with good quality,'' adds he.

Biggies start with flying colour


The first day results are out! Om Shanti Om has fetched a hurricane-like start everywhere. Multiplexes, single screens; big centres, towns, smaller centres; East, West, North, South, everywhere... the film has opened to huge numbers, setting new records on Day 1. The reports are extremely positive, with the youth as also the masses loving the film. As things stand today, the film will have an earth-shattering opening weekend as also Week 1.

Saawariya too has opened to big numbers and the brand Sanjay Leela Bhansali coupled with the curiosity to watch the two star kids has resulted in the cineplexes as well as single screens opening to packed houses. The collections are expected to be great in the opening weekend, but the reports are negative and that will affect the film in days to come.

Shoaib wants to meet Munnabhai in jail



Even as India and Pakistan battle it out on the cricket field in the Fourth ODI at Gwalior, the teams are quite busy even on rest days with various social commitments. Be it attending parties thrown by Sahara Head Honcho Subrato Roy or visiting schools and orphanages on Children"s Day or even managing a dekko of the latest SRK starrer Om Shanti Om, the visitors have actually squeezed out time for everything.

Now news is that 'The Rawalpindi Express' Shoaib Akhtar has expressed his desire to meet and wish apna very own 'Munnabhai' Sanjay Dutt who is currently in Yerwada jail. Shoaib"s P.R. Company Bobby Khan Holdings is apparently trying to make all the arrangements since the fast bowler is a huge fan of the actor. Shoaib also wishes to gift Sanju Bhai a special gift not to mention the good wishes and prayers of many Pakistani fans.

Now whenever and wherever this meeting does take place one thing is certain that there is bound to be huge media frenzy when Cricket"s Favorite Controversy Child meets Bollywood"s very own Sanju Baba...

Salman Khan confirms Rs 24 Crore paycheck for a single film

16 November 2007 (Sawf News) - Salman Khan confirmed past media reports that he will be paid Rs 24 Crores for a single film by the Shree Ashtavinayak making him the highest paid actor in Indian cinema. In addition he will be entitled to 70% of the profits.

Speaking with Screen trade journal, Salman said he will get the record paycheck for the film Tarzan, which will be targeted at children.

"We're remaking 'Tarzan' to appeal to the kids and the youth. My 'No Entry' director Anees Bazmee will be directing it," he said.

When asked "Who will be your Jane?" in the film Salman said, "We still have to figure her out. Wait. All in good time."

Shree Ashtavinayak's most recent production Jab We Met has been a huge success. Their earlier films include Bhagam Bhag, Golmaal and Maine Pyar Kyun Kiya?
