well .. .vishesh films has had more than enough flops without emraan ... they were never big banners ...

name one another star who cud do this in recent past ..

i think awarapan made his fanbase really good .. though movie flopped his acting was praised by one n all in it ..

jannat proved it despite competition from ipl ..
and now raaz ... the january month jinx has also been broken ..

other than our top 5 ...

well .. movies like hatrick etc had released during world cup and bombed big time ... before ... the movie was a solo super hit .. and ipl did mess with most of the movies theater collection .. jannat had less to do with cricket and it was more of a love story ... it did not fall badly in 2nd week too .... which shows that its not just cricket that worked in its favour ..

there is a diff in all those sequel and the sequel of raaz .. and thats the whole cast of raaz 2 is diff from cast of raaz 1 ... even the director .. is different .. so u cant credit it to raaz 1 much ..

d:2 had sanjay gadhvi , abhi , uday , rimi sen again

krrish had all again

an 80% opening for an aamir movie isnt nething as surprising as a 75% opening for a non superstar movie ;)

shahid ??? ... again .. he cud have but JWM did more to kareena than him .. coz she became no.1 post that and he remained there .. and the opening of jwm was no big too .. with kismat he had a chance .. but ruined it coz it ended up being a below avg ...

ranbir .... agreed that he did have great openings for both movies .. but he has no hits ... saawariya was a flop ... bah was a semi hit .. and no outright hit .. + the casting was also big for it ... unlike emraan movies which r sold just by his name ..

imran khan .. this guy had a big chance if kidnap did well .. JTYJN ... i credit more for aamir than him for its opening .. though it did make him an overnight star ... kidnap opening proved it .. but it ended up being a flop .. so he is too new to be called no.6 now .. despite a flop ..

as for emraan ..

gangster - semi hit ... ya credit shiney .. .but the fact is shiney is a big flop when he is alone .. his only big htis r gangster and bhool bhulaiya both under shades of emraan or akki .. .

awarapan - the clash was too big ... deols together with apne first time ... and Himesh's debut flick which opened at 95% ... released on same day ... but still it helped him build a fanbase very much

Jannat - opened at 80% ... even at some single screens ... became Super hit

Raaz .. opened really well again ... and now it seems a sure hit ..

Simple..... there is no No.6...Imran could be in that spot... At Present,Imran Hashmi is better than all u mentioned... But Let LBC rls.... Lets See if Farhan could match it up... Then i will give u a clear opinion...
