Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara Opens Strongly At Multiplexes Murder 2 Extraordinary First Week

Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara opened well at multiplexes with collections around 70-80% on average in big cities. The prime multiplexes had higher occupancies. Outside big cities multiplexes were 60-65%. Single screens were not so good with 40-45% opening. Many had expected Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows Part Two to have better occupancies but Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara was ahead at most places. Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is mainly for urban centres and should score well in big cities but other centres look set to struggle.

Murder 2 had an extraordinary first week of 36.25 crore nett approx. The film performed superbly well all over India. The 8th day has seen a huge drop at multiplexes due to the competition but may stabalise over the weekend.


Delhi Belly sustained very well in week two as it collected 16.25 crore nett approx taking its two week total to around 52 crore nett. SUPER HIT

Bbuddah Hoga Teraa Baap dropped in week two with business of 3.25 crore nett approx. The two week total is around 14.50 crore nett. FLOP

Vidya Balanis currently shooting in Hyderabad for Milan Luthria’s
Dirty Picture,
where she will be playing the role of yesteryear south siren Silk Smitha. Considering Smitha’s bold image, Vidya has been given revealing outfits for the film. But, in spite of being on the fashion police’s hit list ever since she looked disastrous in Heyy Babyy and Kismat Konnection,the actress has blindly trusted Milan and costume director Niharika Khan for her outfits in the film. A friend of Vidya’s revealed, Vidya completely trusts her director and crew when it comes to doing anything for a film. Her only suggestion was she would avoid sleeveless tops/outfits as her arms would look flabby, owing to the slight weight gain for the role.
