Where have the heroines gone?
Sonakshi is out, Sonam hasn't even been approached. Kamal Haasan’s search for a Bollywood beauty to play his young love interest in Viswaroopam continues. Sona neither confirms nor denies whether she is doing the project but her dates for the next few months have been allotted to Joker, Race-2 and Rowdy Rathore. There’s no way she can fit Viswaroopam in her schedule, say sources. Vidya Balan turned down Kamal’s offer, too. And though rumours say that Sonam was also considered, she hasn’t even approached by the veteran actor. Asin who romanced Kamal in Dasavatharam has given bulk dates in August to Rohit Shetty for Bol Bachchan.
Sources close to Kamal say that some members of the actor’s team are still huntimg for a Hindi film heroine to fill in Sonakshi’s shoes. Isha Sharwani, the other B-Towner in Kamal’s film, is rumoured to be playing Kamal's sister in the film.

Battle of the stars in B-wood
While Salman Khan had a spat with his old pal Sanjay at Maanyata’s birthday party, Ajay Devgn’s announcement of his next film has landed him in a title tussle with Akshay Kumar
Kunal M Shah
It turns out that Salman Khan not only had a fight with filmmaker Bunty Walia at Maanyata Dutt’s birthday bash on Thursday night, but also got into an ugly exchange of words with host Sanjay Dutt. It was reported earlier that Salman had almost come to blows with Walia. Dutt, who at that time had stepped out to see off Fardeen Khan, sensed the tension when he saw Walia leave the party in a huff. “Feigning ignorance, Dutt returned to the party and bonded with Salman, who has been his friend for 20 years,” said a source present at the party. “But soon the camaraderie melted away. They started talking loudly, and it became an argument.”
The source said that Dutt appeared shocked to see Salman in such an aggressive mood. Another source revealed that the row had erupted over Dutt’s acceptance of a role in Shah Rukh Khan’s film, while having declined Salman’s request to do a small role of his father in “Bodyguard”. The role is now being played by Raj Babbar. “The bone of contention was Dutt’s making a special appearance in Shah Rukh Khan’s film “Ra.One”. At the party, a miffed Salman broached the subject with Dutt over not playing the role in “Bodyguard”,” the source said.
Subsequently, tempers cooled and better sense prevailed, Sanju gently yanked Salman aside, and dragged him to the basement. The two had a chat for about a couple of hours, the source said, and ironed things out.
Salman left Dutt’s home early in the morning. “Though they made up, on Saturday afternoon, as Dutt and Salman shot for a promo of “Bigg Boss” at Filmistan Studios, the tension in the air was palpable,” the source said.
After promoting his latest flick “Singham” to the hilt, Ajay Devgn has already announced his next home production. The film, “SOS-Son of Sardar”, is to star himself and Sonakshi Sinha in the lead, and will be co-produced by NR Pachisia.
But the title of the film is already creating quite a stir. It has been learnt that Akshay Kumar is all set to make a film with the same title. He has, in fact, already registered the titled under his banner, Hari Om Entertainment. The script is ready and Akshay will be launching the film soon.
A source revealed, “Akshay Kumar hit the jackpot with “Singh Is Kinng”, where he played a sardar. Since then, Akshay was keen on enacting the role of a sardar again. His character worked well with the audience, and he is planning “Singh is Kinng 2” as well. In the meantime, he worked on another subject and titled it “Son of Sardar”.
The source added, “The script is ready and Akshay is in the process of finalizing the rest of the details. He would have gladly given the title to Ajay or Pachisia had he not already finalized the script. And since the title is apt for his film, he obviously does not want to part with it.”
While Akshay Kumar remained unavailable for comment, N R Pachisia said, “I am not aware of this conflict. I’ll have to check it out. But I don’t want to hurt Akshay’s sentiments as we are all part of the same industry and we are all like a family.”
