As We Know Jodi Breakers Failed at the Box Office. But, it wasn’t a matter of loss for the producers at all.

The First Week Collections of Jodi Breakers Was just a 8.25 crores Rupees which could have been better if the film held up during its weekdays. The Film noticed big drops and ultimately Reduced its Potential.

Jodi Breakers Experieced a Drop Of Oover 80% in the second weekend whereas TNLHG dropped under 50% from Previous Friday Collections. Jodi Breakers Collected 1.05 crores over the Second Weekend. The 10 day Total Uptill now is 9.3 crores net for this film.

It was made at a very small budget of 3 crores. This film was distributed by a Very New Prasar Visions Limited Dist. House. They Adopted an Excellent Strategy and made nearly double the Profits from their Investments. In an interview, Madhavan And Bipasha Basu Said that they were really impressed by this company and would like to work again with them.

The Final Figure For Jodi Breakers would Come at 10 crores and this Film would be a given the status of a Below Average Performer.

Big B: "Paan Singh Tomar is inspiring & a fitting tribute"

Two good news - One for Amitabh Bachchan fans and the other for UTV spot boy, Irrfan Khan and Tigmanshu Dhulia. The iconic megastar Big B is getting better day by day. Recently he saw Tigmanshu Dhulia's talked film 'Paan Singh Tomar', a biopic on sprinter turned dacoit Paan Singh starring Irrfan Khan and couldn't stop praising the inspiring effort.
Big B has described the movie as inspiring and fitting tribute to unsung heroes and truly a biopic. His post on his blog reads, "A fulfilling day! Saw an inspiring film, 'Paan Singh Tomar' directed by Tigmanshu Dhulia and enacted by a whole cast of fresh and very talented players, led by that incredible performer Irrfan. Such restraint in direction and performance, but such an impression on the nature of the subject. A biopic true to life and detail."
"...this is a true story, of a man from Madhya Pradesh...The tribute to the unsung hero, lists various prominent sportsmen who brought glory on International platforms for the country, but died penniless. Some even having to sell off their gold medal to survive. Such a moving tale," he added.
Mr Bachchan also pressed for support for sportspersons from the government. "...the first thought that comes to mind is to lend support to those that find themselves in such condition. To plead with the system to show some compassion and respect for the glory they brought for us, so we could stick our chests out in pride and look after them in their hour of need instead of leaving them in dire straits to perish without any honour," he wrote.

Will 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' go the JWM/BBB way?

Though the opening Friday of 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' may have shocked Riteish Deshmukh and Genelia D'Souza (despite the fact that no one was expecting a massive start to begin with), the weekdays infused good life into the film's prospects. There was was a very minimal fall in collections from Monday till Thursday, hence ensuring that the romcom had managed to become a safe preposition at the least. With over 12 crores coming in at the close of week one, 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' is fighting it out to maintain it's collections despite three new releases giving it good competition.
However one waits to see whether the film would be retained by exhibitors in week to follow as 'Kahaani' and 'Chaar Din Ki Chandni' come with their own expectations around screen space. Though 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' has pretty much followed a similar pattern as two other notable romcoms 'Jab We Met' and 'Band Baaja Baaraat', both of which had opened on a low note and stayed consistent at the box office due to audience appreciation, it would be interesting to see if it records lifetime collections better than what these two films had fetched (in the range of 20 crores).
On the other hand it was a sad outing for 'Jodi Breakers' which just couldn't manage to sustain itself after a disheartening opening. With weekdays showing further decline in collections, this Madhavan and Bipasha Basu starrer ended it's first week at around 8 crore mark. The film will just about manage to cross the 10 crore milestone which is quite disappointing considering the kind of money that was pumped into it's making as well as marketing/promotion.
A decent outing for 'Tere Naal Love Ho Gaya' and a forgettable outcome for 'Jodi Breakers' has hardly helped Bollywood's cause though which has been reeling with one box office failure after another. The two highest grossing films of the year still stay on to be Karan Johar's 'Agneepath' and 'Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu'. However need of the hour is to see far more successes, especially since over two months have already passed by with not much luck.

Trust the law, says Tarina Patel

Actor Tarina Patel is furious about reports that state that she’s seeking an out-of-court settlement with actor Saif Ali Khan and his buddies, who reportedly bashed up her husband Iqbal Sharma and her 68-year-old father Raman Patel at Wasabi, Taj Mahal Hotel. “We trust the law and are

sure we’ll get justice. No one has approached us for an out-of-court settlement and neither are we interested in one. The matter is in the hands of the police for now. We can’t do anything more,” she rues.
“We are not a family that is low on morals that will have their 68-year-old dad beaten up for publicity. The ones who accuse us of that prove how great a moral setting he or she belong to.”

    Rang De Bollywood

Want to play Holi with a Chikni Chameli spray? How about The Dirty Picture gulaal? This year, Bollywood makes its debut on packets of Holi gulaal and pichkaris as city markets are flooded with filmy products titled, Chikni Chameli spray colours, Dabanng pichkaaris and The Dirty Picture gulaal.

Shopkeepers say these Bollywood-inspired products are a hit with city youngsters and are going off shelves like hot cakes. “Cracker packets during Diwali used to have pictures of film stars, but this year Bollywood has made an appearance on Holi gulaal too,” says Raja, owner of a SZ Alafarzands, a shop selling Holi products in Sadar Bazaar.

While the Chikni Chameli spray colour, priced at Rs 20 per bottle, has actor Katrina Kaif’s picture on it, The Dirty Picture colour pack, priced at Rs 18, has a picture of actors Vidya Balan, Tusshar Kapoor and Naseeruddin Shah on it.

“The Vidya Balan colour is a hit with customers. Mostly, young boys are coming to buy it,” says Satyender, a roadside shopkeeper. When asked why film stars were put on the packets of Holi products, Babu Rama, a shopkeeper replies, “Entertainment biktaa hai madam (Entertainment sells madam).”

These products have become bestsellers ever since the markets stocked them up. “We have run out of stock of the Dabanng pichkaari. We have sold about 300 pieces of it and have ordered for 500 more,” says Raja.

The pichkari priced at Rs150 is available in the Agneepath version too. “I am a Katrina Kaif fan. What better way to celebrate Holi than playing with Chikni Chameli colour spray?” asks Nishant Arora. “I have bought the Dabanng colours,” says Arushi Paul, 22.

    Play it like Desi Boyz
The water gun flaunted by actors Akshay Kumar and John Abraham in the title track of the 2011 film, Desi Boyz, is one of the hottest Holi items this year. Available online and in select markets of the city, these pichkaaris are called Desi Boyz pichkaris and come with two packs of organic colours, priced at Rs 500 onwards. Pregnant Shilpa Shetty hopes to cheer Rajasthan Royals

Actress Shilpa Shetty, who is expecting her first child with husband Raj Kundra, says she is looking forward to cheer Rajasthan Royals team, though with doctor's permission, in the fifth IPL season beginning next month.

"I would cheer and pray like every time. Enthusiasm and excitement keeps increasing every year. But again it depends upon on my doctor. I hope my doctor gives me permission," Shilpa told reporters last evening at an event.

Even my XXL size jersey would come out soon, the actress said.

Shilpa's businessman husband Raj Kundra is the co-owner of the Rajasthan Royals team.

The actress stressed that the compact format is serious cricket even though it enjoys a high entertainment quotient.

"It (IPL) is a deadly combo (cricket and entertainment).I don't need to say how entertainment really works with making the whole format suitable in terms of reducing the overs. Some people are against it but those who enjoy IPL are proof enough that it works," she said.

"It is all about cricket at the end. No matter who comes and dances at the beginning or at the end," the 36-year-old said.

Over 71,000 bachelors vying for Veena Malik’s hand

Mumbai: If participation in a controversial show could help someone receive mammoth proposals, then why waste time on logging onto matrimony sites!

Veena Malik has certainly hit a jackpot with her sleazy stint on ‘Bigg Boss’ and her subsequent rise to fame post her “nude” photo shoot for FHM magazine last year.

In less than 2 years, the Pakistani starlet has managed to garner name and fame in India (so what if she has been in news for all the wrong reasons). And she couldn’t have asked for more, for she has received over 71240 marriage proposals from across India.

Veena Malik is gearing up for her TV show ‘Veena Ka Vivah’, the fourth season of ‘Swayamvar’, and is ecstatic to see Indian bachelors seeking her hand for marriage. Though prospective grooms from all over the world have sent in their entries, bachelors from India form the majority.

Talking to a leading daily, the actress said, “I`m humbled by the response I have received and thrilled that majority of the entries have come in from India. I want to thank everybody for their continuous love, support and faith in me and I hope they will hold my hand in the most important journey of my life.”

We wonder if Veena’s matrimonial union with an Indian paves the way for a new Indo-Pak peace process!

But will the lady find her ultimate man? We will have to wait and watch.
