Tusshar And Riteish Confirmed For Kya Kool Hai Hum 2

After years of dilly-dallying, sequel of Kya Kool Hai Hum is finally happening. Also, the film's lead pair of Tusshar Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh would be reuniting again for this adult comedy which was the surprise success of 2005.

"Ever since Kya Kool Hai Hum turned into a success, producer Ekta Kapoor and her brother Tusshar Kapoor were keen to bring the sequel on floor", informs a trade source, "However they were unable to crack the right idea. The original director Sangeeth Sivan did try to work around a few subjects but eventually all concerned people could never get on the same page.

No one ever contemplated dropping the idea though, as sequels are turning out to be huge business now in Bollywood too. Kya Kool Hai Hum 2 had to happen, come what may."

This is where the film's writer Sachin Yardi came up with a cracker of an idea that was mutually agreeable to Ekta as well as Tusshar. So impressed was the duo with what Sachin had written that he was immediately entrusted with the responsibility of directing the film as well. Though his debut directorial outing C Kkompany for Ekta and Tusshar was a flop show at the box office, the makers hadn't lost faith in him.

Confirms Tusshar, "Yes, Sachin would be directing the sequel for us. We have been in regular touch for long and the idea that he has come up for the sequel is going to take Kya Kool Hai Hum franchise many notches up. We would be beginning the film's shoot this year itself."

With Riteish already confirmed for the sequel, this would be the actor's third franchise where he is working on a sequel. While he has already wrapped up a major portion of Double Dhamaal, he would be seen in Housefull 2 as well. As for Tusshar, Golmaal series happens to be his crowning glory. Though Neha Dhupia and Eesha Koppikhar had starred in the original Kya Kool Hai Hum, they would be replaced by newer faces for the sequel

First Look of 'Ready' has created an all around 'dhamaal'. Even though the theatrical promo is yet to hit the screens, just the posters with Salman Khan leading the show all the way have created an all around frenzy in the media, industry and the audience.


Despite Abhishek Bachchan's 'Game' not doing well, his 'Dum Maaro Dum' is carrying far better vibes. Though these are still early days to predict a fantastic opening for the film, the fact remains that its new theatrical promo has fetched terrific response for itself and enticed newfound curiosity for itself.



Makers of 'Singham' have confirmed that the film's title would remains as is for the Ajay Devgn starrer. Though many felt whether the Tamil title would be suitable for the Rohit Shetty film, the director insists that it is just apt since 'Singham' is a Sanskrit word (for lion).

Anushka goes grungy and bohemian

Adopting different look is in and Anushka Sharma isn't willing to be left behind. For her next film 'Ladies v/s Ricky Bahl', she is going through some serious transition. Since the film is set in Goa, Anushka is all set to shock audience with an altogether different persona that she is adopting for the film. One step in this direction is an altogether new look which requires Anushka to go grungy and bohemian.

"In each of her films so far, Anushka has played a girl next door with middle class sensibilities. In 'Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi' she was clad in a 'salwar-kameez' for most part of the film, in 'Badmaash Company' she did don Western outfits but they again belonged to girl next door. In 'Band Baaja Baaraat' she went totally casual while in 'Patiala House' too she couldn't go all the way as it was a family drama," says a costume designer, "It made sense that for her fifth film, she does something that she has never tried before."

On contacted Anushka said, "I can't talk much about the look. I can confirm though that this will be a very stylised film with an altogether different and cool body language."

Salman is upset with ‘Ready’ negative publicity

B-town macho man Salman khan is upset, he is angry with some media reports on the viability of ‘Ready’ at the box office.

Salman can,t understand why is somebody casting doubts over ‘Ready’ success before three months of the film. ‘Ready’ is schedule for a 3 June 2011 release.

The reports being telecast on the channel raises questions like ‘Will Ready meet the expectations?’ and ‘Has the price of the film been exaggerated to earn more profits?’ among others.

‘Ready’ is produced by T-series and stars Asin along with Salman.

The report also underlines the fact that the producer of Ready, Bhushan Kumar’s track record has not been too great in the recent past, taking examples like Karzzz, Kajra Re and Patiala House. The channel also mentions Salman and Asin’s last film London Dreams that crashed at the box-office.

According to Ajay Kapoor theirs some unsolved dispute between the T-series and the channel for this engineered reports, he says, “We had taken this channel to Court and they had to pay us a fine. Despite that they continued to flout rules, we again took legal action against them, the matter is freshly coming up for a hearing soon.”

“We have stopped giving them software of all our songs. It’s their loss,” he added.

T-Series had written to the Film & TV Producers Guild of India Limited complaining against the channel. In turn, the Business Head of the channel, Anurag Bedi, sent his reply to the Guild saying that his channel has not flouted the Copyright Act.

According to Bedi, the reports are factual and there are no violations. He has been quoted saying, “Why is Bhushan upset if he has already sold Ready? The distributors who have bought the film should be worried. Whatever we have stated in our trade analysis of Ready is purely factual. We are showing the facts and figures supporting our report?”

Salman Khan is caught between this tussle and is upset over all this negativity before three months of release of his films.

Ready is releasing on June 3.
