A big success with Agneepath which was a remake of the 1991 film with the same name and that film had floped quite badly.

A solid year with hits like Bol Bachchan and Son Of Sardaar with Tezz being the dampener.

Sohail Khan’s next directorial venture starring Salman Khan was earlier titled ‘Radhe’ which will be now titled as ‘Mental.’

The movie is a remake of Telugu movie Stalin. Tabu has been approached by the makers to play Salman’s sister.

Nasseruddin Shah will play the role of Prakash Raj from the original.

The movie is being readied to release on Salman’s favorite release date i.e Eid this year!

The makers of Mental are contemplating taking a new girl for the lead opposite Salman. Sohail Khan has been auditioning girls for the lead.

Sohail Khan confirms Tabu opposite Salman Khan in 'Stalin' remake

Sohail Khan, who is busy with the pre-production of his film starring Salman Khan, confirms Tabu’s presence in the cast and that Radhe won’t be the film’s final title.

Says Sohail, "That is just the working title. The media is coming up with all sorts of inventive titles for my film. As of now, the only components we’ve finalized are Bhai (Salman) and Tabu who is my favourite."

One has it from a source very close to the film that Salman and his brother Sohail Khan are not too sure that the title works.

"It worked as his name in Satish Kaushik’s Tere Naam. But when way back then Satish suggested the film be called Radhe Mohan after Salman’s character everyone had summarily rejected the title as sounding too mythological. Salman loves the name Radhe for his character. And the hero’s name Stalin from the Telugu original would probably be changed to Radhe to humour Salman. But that’s it. The film won’t be titled Radhe," informs the source.

Interestingly the parrot on Bigg Boss 6 is also named Radhe on Salman’s insistence.

But it won’t work as the title of his new film, specially since Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s new film is called Ram Leela.

Says our source, "Salman got to know just recently that Bhansali’s new film is called Ram Leela. Now, that is being released in June-July. Salman’s film comes three months later. It is felt by the entire team that Radhe would seem too much of a me-too title after Ram Leela.”

As of now the film’s title has been put on hold. "But it would be a one-word title. Salman favours one-worded titles like Bodyguard, Dabangg, Kick and Radhe. In fact he wanted Ek Tha Tiger to be called Tiger. But that title was already taken.”

Sohail Khan’s Radhe to go on floors in Feb - Indian Express

Salman Khan-starrer Radhe, to be directed by his brother Sohail Khan, will start rolling in February.

Art director Sabu Cyril will design the sets while Dilip Shukla will pen the dialogues for the film.

The team of Radhe will start with their first shooting schedule at Lonavala.

Radhe is going to be a remake of A.R. Murugadoss’s 2006 South hit film Stalin.

It’s also been reported that Tabu and Naseeruddin Shah have been roped in for two important roles in the film.

However, there is no official confirmation about the cast as of now.

Interestingly, Salman is working on remakes of two Southern hits in 2013, which includes Stalin and Kick.
