As a footnote very glad that this huge success did not come out of the blue and came after a series of smaller success. Especially after the success of fireman at the helm of which was a director with not a good track record. Siddeeq as well going thru a bad phase and his ability was also under doubt. If at all the success of this movie was more a question of siddeq's identity especially since king liar was going to be a combined effort with lal. How well he has combined with mamm. Nobody will dare to comment that mamm bought his way out of trouble. He confidently worked his way out of it.

Even wen many of us attacked Mamm with harsh words for missing out on the jackpot that was drishyam, I doubt if he ever felt remorse for letting it go. He worked his way up slowly but steadily. The best thing was that even during one of his worst phases in his long career, he never had to go begging for roles. It came to him right and left , from new and old school.

The success of fireman has its weight in gold that showed us that mamm still has it in him to deliver that firebrand officer role (which for some time was handled only by prithviraj with any success).
