Action hero Biju is a movie about various incidents that Sub inspector Biju Paulose (Nivin) has to face in his career. The movie speaks wonderfully well about the life of a police officer. Here Nivin as sub inspector Biju Paulose expressed the agony to the evils in the society and wanted a crime less society. The movie starts with an incident in the police station . Jude Antony plays a role of a Managing Director of a recruiting company , Even though his role is minimal he has done it quite well and gave a good laugh for audience with the comic mixed role. Suraj Venjaramud , Rohini etc are seen in the movie as different cases come in front of the SI – Biju . Major Ravi plays the role of the commissioner , Saiju Kurup plays the role of Circle Inspector. Various comic incidents happens as the movie rolls in. Jojo made the audience laugh with his civil police officer role. The comic scene just before the interval made the entire audience laugh out Loud. Benitta (Anu Emmanuel) is an artist in the movie and is in love with SI – Biju Paulose .The romance in the life of a police officer is well portrayed in Action Hero Biju in between the cases and through the beatiful song ‘Pookal Panineer Pookal’ composed by Jerry Amaldev. Action scenes are classy . Towards the end of the movie, Biju Paulose marries Benitta and the committed police officer doesn’t even get time to be with his wife in the hospital during the birth of his daughter. The police officer Biju Keeps on moving with new cases .
Lows :
BGM could be little more better.
Compilation of different case stories could be little more better.
Highs :
The movie gives a number of socially relevant moral messages.
Actions are classy . Fight scenes are good to watch.
Comedy.
Songs brought Nostalgia.

Nivin Pauly- Abrid Shine team which tasted success in their first ever association had come today again with their second venture named Action Hero Biju. After the success they got through 2014 film named 1983, which had won both of them awards at state film awards, they are back this time with a cop story. Nivin Pauly and Abrid Shine together produced this venture as well and this is their first production venture. After the dream success of Premam, Nivin Pauly had dedicated almost 6 months of his for this film and he was mentally and physically prepared well for the character named Biju Paulose.
This is his first release after Premam and first police character as well in his career till now. So the reasons for anticipation are many and the expectation around the film is huge. Biju Paulose is the name of central character of this film and he is a sub inspector of Police. As you all know the character is played by Young Star Nivin Pauly and the flick travels through the life of this cop named Biju Paulose. The plot of the film deals with the daily affairs a police officer has to do and face. What Biju Paulose, the police officer and other police officers like him faces every day during their official duty and how their personal and official life goes parallel to each other is the subject discussing in the film. Abrid Shine loves to tell his stories in a realistic manner and we saw that I 1983. Here as well he followed that path and that itself gave the film a fresh feel as we did not saw many Police stories in Malayalam Cinema that told in a realistic manner.
Most of them we see were based on mass masala elements with firebrand background. But along with the realistic way of presenting the life of a police officer, Abrid Shine had showed his skill in perfectly blending all the entertaining elements to the core of the story. The flick has action but not heavy, it has good dialogues but not focused more on that, it has humor flavor but it is not a comedy film. It has everything in its right proportion to make the audience glued to their seats. Nivin Pauly had given one of the finest performances of his career and have to say that Abrid shine knows how to use Nivin Pauly the actor well. We saw it in 1983 as well. Nivin had played the character with attitude as well as with great energy. He looks matured as this character and that can be seen in his dialogue Delivery and looks as well. Anu Emmanuel had played her part decently and she was looking very cute in the flick. Jerry Amaldev had once again showed that class remains and it is permanent with his soulful music.
The Background scoring by Premam fame Rajesh Murugan was also apt for the film and the frames set by Alex J Pulickal was really helped the film to stand in right balance and to make it a realistic entertainer. Artists like Joju George, Prajod, Saiju Kuruppu, Major Ravi, etc also done a good job but the stand out performer was Suraj Venjarammoodu. He had got all the applause from the audience with a cameo appearance of him and that too in an emotional role. Action Hero Biju is a realistic film focusing on the life of police officers. It does not have much twist and turns and also did not bothered to bring in heavy mass elements that we usually expect from a cop story. The different feel it gives is the biggest plus of the film and that makes it a film worthy of watching.
