Hazard was a target later but fergie backed off at the asking price!! Those days we would not spend too much on a player! Especially considering the debt troubles at the club ...just coz of Fergie's prowess in over achieving with an average squad we never realised how big a problem glazers have been inflicting on the club ever since they took over...i always feel that ,if fergie was given the licence to spend like other top revenue generating clubs like barca and real then, manutd would still have been at that level!! Inspite of not spending close to those clubs , Fergie made us one of the finest in Europe!!
there have been some top influential signings after cr7 anyway..de gea stands out and then there is rvp who singlehandedly won us the epl!!
