Second thing is intolerance which is very common nowadays. When Padmavat released Swara Bhaskar criticized that the movie glorified sati . But without that how will the movie be complete.
Kasaba is a potboiler film. It is a movie which you watch and forget after you get out of theatres. So such scenes are ok in the movie because nobody takes such films seriously.
But if there is misogyny in a serious film where there is a message which says that women are just sex objects or that men are superior to women then that should be questioned.
Before criticizing analyze what type of movie it is.
An example from life-
i have seen right from my childhood in many movies - many cases where women shown mostly as cheating on men / or more into that stuff....you know what I mean...this obviously gave me Wrong perception on women in general....which later was proven wrong from my experience. Now I know it is men who will cheat more given an opportunity.
There could be instances where kids/ teens getting a wrong message like this approach women in wrong sense when they get an opportunity later. At least some of rape cases would have occurred due to this - teen approaches a hot girl thinking she is into this stuff...gets denied...ends up in rape if opportunity was right....
Let's take this example....if kasaba was not a controversy....and a string of similar scenes come up in other movies.in long term. a kid /teen getting wrong message Could have no respect to a lady officer in a higher position.
