PVR, INOX Leisure set to merge operations

In a major twist, India’s leading multiplex chain PVR, which was earlier in advanced talks with the local unit of Mexican company Cinépolis for a possible merger, has decided to combine operations with the second largest multiplex chain, INOX Leisure.

Ernakulam is fastly moving to a metro city , single screens are coming to an end and multiplexes are dominating like other major cities..

Yes but Cinepolis is the best in delivering sound and image quality.No matter whether it is kochi or bangalore,mthey maintain the same quality.For PVR, I had lot of bad experience in this category.
I think we should have mutiple brands .There should not be a monopoly in this.

Yes. Absolutely. I found cinepolis kochi to be better than pvr in terms of sound and visual clarity.
I want cinepolis kochi to reopen so that pvr doesn't make a monopoly.
I think carnival and cinepolis to join and do something. Maybe focus on tier 2 and tier 3 cities.
