That should be the only factor which decides the status of a movie...I dont know why people put some logic like 25 means hit,40 means super hit...50 cr BB etc...As you said...if a 1 cr budget movie collects 5 cr..then its a hit...simple...not able to understand why people are complicating things..
We should not consider the rights and other business..hit or flop should be decided by collection from theater only..

Yes. And now they have come to a point where Jo and Jo and Super Sharanya are not genuine hits......

Not just Kerala collections,Overseas rights and ROI can be considered because those collections are also theatrical collections and it shows our market outside our state.

In fact overseas collection can be assessed based on the fact whether the distributor there makes a profit or a loss. Overall if the producer makes money out or Kerala theatre share and ROI share and if the overseas distributor also benefits from the price which he bought the movie for then its a theatrical it.

In short taking Kerala box office alone also is too narrow

1. ബിഗ് ബജറ്റ് movie with hype and star. അല്ലെങ്കിൽ must watch theatre experience demand ചെയ്യുന്ന movie.

2. Super star movies mass masala or action entertainer ഇത് ബിഗ് ബജറ്റ് വേണം എന്നില്ല. യൂത്ത് movie ആണേലും ok

3. Excellent opinion...kochu ചിത്രം ആണ് എങ്കിലും irrespective of stars.

Avg, above avg, ok movie, experimental movie, melodrama, low class action, comedy movie, ഇതൊന്നും ഇനി അധികം തീയേറ്ററിൽ രക്ഷപ്പെടില്ല.

ഇതിന് പുറമെ സീസൺ. Vacation, ഓണം, ക്രിസ്തുമസ് release ഒക്കെ കുറച്ചു advantage കിട്ടും

ഇനി box office success.

ഇപ്പൊ കാണുന്ന overseas collection profit enna നിലയിൽ കണക്ക് ആക്കുന്നില്ല എങ്കിൽ boxoffice success ഇന് പരിഗണിക്കാം

അതെ പോലെ തന്നെ ആവണം കേരള gross collection. Budget , share ഒന്നും നോക്കാതെ gross മാത്രം ആയി പരിഗണിച്ച് ഹിറ്റ് സ്റ്റാറ്റസ് പറയാം

ഇവിടെ 25 cr gross kittiya moviekku എത്ര share കിട്ടും......അവിടെ 5 cr, 10 cr ഒക്കെ വിറ്റു പോവുന്ന movie .......5 cr കിട്ടിയാലും 50 cr കിട്ടിയാലും profit same ആവും പ്രൊഡ്യൂസർക്ക്

അതിനാൽ better........gross വച്ച് ഹിറ്റ് status നിർണ്ണയിക്കുന്നത് തന്നെ ആവും better.
