വാലിവൻ്റെ വെല്ലുവിളി ചിത്രത്തിലെ മണ്ണ് നീക്കം ചെയ്യുക എന്നതാണ്. ചിത്രത്തിലെ മണ്ണ് ലെവൽ കുറയ്ക്കുന്നത് വലിയ വെല്ലുവിളിയാണെന്നാണ് കാലങ്ങളായി കാണുന്നത്. ഇമേജ് പ്രോസസ്സിംഗിൽ രംഗത്തിൽ മണ്ണ് പരന്നിരിക്കുന്നതായി വ്യക്തമായി കാണാം. സ്മാർട്ട് സാങ്കേതികവിദ്യ സജ്ജീകരിച്ചിരിച്ച്, മണ്ണ് നീക്കം ചെയ്യണമായിരുന്നു. അതിൻ്റെ നിർണായക ഫലങ്ങൾ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് പഴയ ലാലേട്ടനെ വീണ്ടെടുക്കാൻ കഴിയും. തിരക്കഥയുടെ വികലമായ രൂപം നീക്കം ചെയ്യണം. മെഡിക്കൽ സയൻസിൽ ഇതിന്

ഏത് സാങ്കേതികതയ്ക്കും മികച്ച ഫലപ്രാപ്തി ഉണ്ടെന്ന് കണ്ടെത്താൻ ശ്രമിക്കുന്നതേടൊപ്പം തിരക്കഥയുടെ ആഴം അളക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്. .
തിരക്കഥ ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മനസിൽ ചിത്രം ചിത്രീകരിക്കാം. തിരക്കഥ എക്സിക്യൂട്ട് ചെയ്യാൻ എടുക്കുന്ന സമയം നിർമ്മാതാവിനെ ആക്രമിക്കാതിരിക്കാൻ ശ്രദ്ധിക്കേണ്ടതുണ്ട്.

I disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it!!
Valiban kandu - Ishtapettu.. Not overwhelmingly good but a very satisfying movie for me. Cinematography, Production design/Art, Music, Makeup, and even Direction are all worthy contenders of this years' top awards - maybe National awards too, hopefully. It's easy to understand why this did not click with majority of the audience and also why it did feel great for a selected group of audience. Usually, when big budget money and efforts are thrown in - makers follow a successful pattern. This one is not so. It has some good creativity and unique approaches thrown in. The flaws of the movie seemed small to me, against these. Thankfully, Lejo did not even stick to his own fanbase's satisfaction. Good!. Such movies also have to be made which stays away from convention and dare to venture into new approaches. It was truly the work of an Auteur!
Mohanlal's acting, I did not feel anything great - including the action scenes which were just about ok - mostly rope tricks which are evidently done and usual. His eyes are still dead post-Odiyan, dead eyes conveying nothing, like a Robot. And it's in focus for a lot of shots. Dialogue delivery is also below par - inconsistent - some are direct spoof of his old dialogues - even from spadikam. They may have been intentional but not really good or consistent. I am in awe of his dubbing in 80s and 90s. Even for simple movies, it never used to feel like he did it from studio. Each expression and nuance had that natural flow. It was pure magic, just like his acting back then and how both of it synced so well - just a divine match. Anyway, that's enough about nostalgia. But then there's one thing Aana ethra melinjaalum thozhuthil kettan pattila ennu parayunna pole, his Aura, presence and looks were apt for the role - still top-notch and hard to beat (not impossible, anymore).
