അതുപറയാൻ തുടങ്ങിയാൽ അത് തന്നെ വലിയൊരു കഥയാണ്. എം.ടി വാസുദേവൻ സാർ തിരക്കഥ എഴുതി ഞാൻ തന്നെ സംവിധാനം ചെയ്യാനിരുന്ന സിനിമയാണിത്. തിരക്കഥ എഴുതാൻ അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് അഡ്വാൻസ് വരെ നൽകി. ഞങ്ങൾ* ഒരുമിച്ച് പലതവണ സിനിമയെക്കുറിച്ച് സംസാരിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.

എന്നാൽ ചിലകാരണങ്ങളാൽ അത് നടന്നില്ല. ഈ തിരക്കഥ നീ ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് എംടി പറഞ്ഞു. തിരക്കഥയുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട ഒരുപാട് പുസ്തകങ്ങളും എനിക്ക് തന്നു. ഞാനത് വായിച്ചു. ഇന്ത്യ ഒട്ടാകെ ഇതുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട് സഞ്ചരിച്ചു. കുരുക്ഷേത്രയുദ്ധം നടന്നു എന്നു പറയപ്പെടുന്ന ഹരിയാനയിൽ വരെ ഞാൻ എത്തി.

പിന്നീട് മമ്മൂട്ടിയെ നായകനാക്കി ഹരിഹരൻ ഈ പ്രോജക്ട് ഏറ്റെടുക്കാന്* തീരുമാനിച്ചു. അന്ന് മാക്ട ഫെഡറേഷൻ ചിത്രം നിർമിക്കാമെന്നും ഏറ്റു. നിർമാണവും മുതൽമുടക്കും തന്നെയായിരുന്നു സിനിമയുടെ പ്രധാനവെല്ലുവിളി. പിന്നീട് നിർമാതാക്കളെ കിട്ടാതെ അതും നിന്നു. ശേഷം ഹരിഹരൻ തന്നെ മമ്മൂട്ടിയുമൊത്ത് പഴശ്ശിരാജ ചെയ്തു. അതിനുശേഷം അദ്ദേഹം പിന്നീട് ഈ തിരക്കഥയെപ്പറ്റി എന്നോട് സംസാരിച്ചതുമില്ല.

വർഷങ്ങളോളം നീണ്ട കണ്ടെത്തുലകൾക്കും പഠനത്തിനും ശേഷമാണ് ഈ തിരക്കഥ ഞാൻ തയാറാക്കിയിരിക്കുന്നത്. ഈ തിരക്കഥ വായിച്ച പല മഹാന്മാരും അതിഗംഭീരം എന്നാണ് പറഞ്ഞത്. ചില സംവിധായകർ ഇത് വായിച്ച ശേഷം എന്റെ കാലിൽ തൊട്ട് നമസ്കരിച്ചു.

എന്റെ സുഹൃത്തായ വേണു നാഗവള്ളി ഈ തിരക്കഥ വായിച്ചപ്പോൾ എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞ വാക്കുകള്* ഇപ്പോഴും ഓർക്കുന്നു. ‘12 തിരക്കഥ ഈ ജീവിതകാലയളവിൽ ഞാൻ എഴുതിയിട്ടുണ്ടെങ്കിലും ഇതുപോലൊരു തിരക്കഥ എഴുതാനായില്ലല്ലോ എന്നോർത്ത് എനിക്ക് വിഷമമുണ്ട്.’

പ്രശസ്ത സാഹിത്യകാരന്* സുകുമാരൻ നായർ പറഞ്ഞത് ഇത് മലയാളസാഹിത്യത്തിന് ഒരു മുതൽക്കൂട്ട് എന്നാണ്. സംവിധായകന്* ഷാജി കൈലാസ് ആണ് തിരക്കഥ വായിച്ച ശേഷം എന്റെ കാലു തൊട്ട് വന്ദിച്ചത്. മാത്രമല്ല പണ്ടേ ഈ സിനിമയുടെ വാർത്ത പത്രമാധ്യമങ്ങളിൽ വന്നതാണ്. അന്നൊന്നും സോഷ്യൽമീഡിയ ഇത്ര സജീവമല്ലല്ലോ? ഇപ്പോള്* ഇത് പെട്ടന്ന് പ്രാധാന്യം നേടാൻ കാര്യവും അതുതന്നെ.

Karnan malayalam movie photos reviews videos and trailers,After the magnanimous success of ‘Pazhassiraja’, their team behind the movie is once again coming together for another big flick.

Tentatively titled as ‘Karnan‘, veteran director Hariharan will once again use the acting talents of Megastar Mammootty and Supreme star of Tamil, Sarath Kumar, for the movie. The movie will be another big budget flick produced by Gokulam Gokulan.
The next magnum opus in Malayalam, ‘Karnan’ might start sooner than expected. If rumors that are pouring in are to be believed, ‘Karnan’ might turn out to be the costliest film to be produced in Malayalam, with a budget of about 30 cores
