With the first quarter of the year coming to an end, there is much to cherish for the industry as it witnessed a good number of hits. Pavada

Prithviraj continued his golden run, and 'Pavada' which released on January 15, 2016 was his fourth consecutive success. The film that opened to good reviews went on to gross nearly 15 crores from the Kerala Box Office.

Maheshinte Prathikaram

Maheshinte Prathikaram came as a pleasant surprise to the Malayalam film industry. The film garnered unanimously positive reviews and is still continuing its good run at the box office. The film is considered to be the biggest solo success of Fahadh Fazil and has grossed nearly 14 Crores from Kerala box Office

Action Hero Biju

The first quarter witnessed one of the biggest comebacks in Malayalam cinema. Action Hero Biju which initially opened to bad reviews came back strongly to garner good reviews and box office collections. The film which is still going strong at the theatres is slowly approaching the 15 crores mark and is all set to become a Blockbuster

Puthiya Niyamam

Puthiya Niyamam had a dream start with a good first week collection.Later, the film did find a drop in collections. But still, the film entered the safe zone and has settled to the average league

Vettah

'Vettah' too opened to good reviews. After a good opening and first week collection, the movie did take a dip. Still, the film did fare well at the box-office garnering good collections.

Kali

Kali has had a tremendous start. The film which released on March 26, 2016 had a record opening grossing nearly 2.34 Crores in its first day. The coming days will predict the future of the film and considering the response the film has received, it seems like a super-hit is guaranteed.
