let it take 44 days or even one year....the operation should start soon...i think india should have started the operation on the day it started the lockdown....now almost one month and still no move to repatriate....i think kerala is the first state to take some action about citizens stranded in foreign lands

If you are stuck in Karnataka, you are likely to remain that way for a bit longer. Kerala government will demand 'No Corona' certificate to enter the state and Karnataka will not test those without symptoms.

Until lockdown India was rescuing Indians stuck in various countries. Once lockdown was announced the government decided to ban any travel within or into the country to protect the people in the country. Can't blame it as most of the cases were with people who reached from outside.

Kerala airports shut down on March 22. All other indian airports shut down on March 25, which was the day nationwide lockdown started. None of these were announced before. They all happened suddenly in the week of march 22. I didn't hear of any rescue missions before these airport shutdowns and lockdown.

I know it is to protect the people in the country. But people outside should have been taken care of too. It's like a family. You have your kids playing outside your home and a huge wind comes. You have to lock the doors. Would you leave the kids outside?

Correct process should have started during lock down and put them in quarantine.

3 Indian Navy ships to evacuate Indians stuck in the Middle East. The ships can hold larger numbers of passengers even after taking into account social distancing. 4 more vessels being prepared for mass evacuations.
