This material was better suited for a long webseries.....

Rather than action packed war and visuals, this story mainly focuses on behind the scenes political strategies, conspiracy, betrayal, romance etc etc...

I have not much faith in Mani ratnam...let's see what trailer has in store for us.....

I don't know........

One side - visually this looks like usual war/period movies we already seen. Nothing unique.

Other side - ARR, ARR, ARR - USP of this film.

Ponniyin selvan has content matter for multiple season web series.

Translating this huge saga into 3 hr movie is impossible.

So probably Mani will touch important story points only.

Still, I have some hope.

(Baahubali had insane visuals , this one has better story & will have good music no doubt)
