I don’t think he is that arrogant to be honest. From what I understand his Twitter usage was during solo release. I’m sure he doesn’t really handle his social media accounts and has a burner account to browse for his needs irrespective of his celebrity accounts on platforms. He was sensitive about Solo that’s for sure. It’s been years since then.
He doesn’t do interviews in Malayalam because he doesn’t need to. That’s the simple truth. He doesn’t really need to go around doing crazy promotion and interviews in Malayalam for his films to do numbers. He needs to do interviews with tamil, Telugu, hindi audience to ensure those markets accept his malayalam pan indian project that is king of Kotha.
In every interview he praises Malayalam cinema. Tbh he’s the reason a lot of people perhaps started learning about Malayalam cinema. He’s an unique phase in his career in which no one from our industry has been able to achieve. Not even the Big Ms or his contemporaries. He has star value and pull in all languages except Kannada. That’s major.
Him doing big budget projects in Telugu and Tamil is good, because those expand his market. And that in turn benefits Malayalam. Let’s say if he gets hits like Sita Ramam in other languages. That allows him to do a big budget Malayalam film like King of Kotha, something major and unique and be able to mount that project in a big canvas. Plus, other language films pay him big bucks to star and he uses alot of that money back into his production company to produce his own big budget films in Malayalam. It’s a good strategy in my opinion. He cares about his core market Malayalam which is why he’s ensuring to do a project here which he himself will produce: so that’s like Kurup and King of Kotha. It's a smart move. It's obvious DQ is trying to establish a presence in multiple languages. Pullike athu ansarichu social media following'um undu, plenty of fans from other states as well. Athinde idayil ee hardcore haters, arguments etc... is unnecessary negativity. Pulli charra parra paranu nadennu promotions aanu.... athee samayathu orru side'l pullimurugan, kochunni, kaduva collections paranjoondu malayalathil therri vili.... it doesn't look nice. Best to block them and avoid such annoyance!
What DQ is doing right now is new to us malayalees, none of the other stars from Kerala have spread their wings in this manner. Maybe they had a couple of successes but then struggle and then confine themselves to Malayalam cinema. Ithu elaam puthuma aanu, not everyone can digest this especially if you are from the opposite camp.

Malayalam cinema enjoyed a lot of success during the pandemic OTT boom, but we did not build on it. Veendum aa pazhee pallavi. Kuree luttu ludaku padangal, 10-15 Malayalam interviews etc...etc... velliya budget aanenkil orru Dubai FM visit.... that's it. Release'inu shesham fans therri vili, 1-2 cr opening aghoosham etc... We live in the biggest movie market.... India, but uh uh.... nammalku ithu mathee.
Irrespective of KoK's success/results, DQ is breaking new grounds for Malayalam cinema and soon other actors will follow.

When I find that DQ is signing new projects in other languages without signing new Malayalam movies I think at least he is doing more movies in his mother tongue than what Yash does in Kannada. After KGF series fans are still waiting for a new announcement from him
