King of Kotha - Review - Seems to be a paisa vasool festival film in other languages

Saw it.. didn’t like the first half that much.. Prasanna casting was a bad one. Performance was really poor. Gokul Suresh did good! Shabeer was excellent. I think first half there seems to be a lot of deleted scenes. You can tell it’s choppy because they cut a lot of scenes and it doesn’t flow seamlessly and some relationships don’t seem like they got the breathing space for audience to relate and connect with.

2nd half I liked. DQ was really good. His emotions scene was really good. Last climax fight sequences was really well done.

Audiences were expecting some slow motion bgm filled mass sequences - not much of that. Seems like a refreshing change for me. But I’m sure people who loved jailer will want that type of stuff. But overall it’s quite violent and seems like it’ll work alot better with other language audiences. We (malayalees) are quite critical of our one products from this genre. I think the film works but has some flaws, but tbh its a festival film. Overall worth the money I spent, especially the last sequences. I will definitely rewatch the second half quite a lot more than the first half.

He did a good job. It was a good performance. It was different from anything we’ve seen before. I felt like he was able to ace his character. I really loved his performance in an emotional scene. It was quite good!
