Your comments about the direction,i am not in a position to counter argue until i see the movie...The posts like this is not what i consider downriding..Thats what i intended to say..

From the very first instance,Basheerian world is not a filmy one for me..Its the power of his writing that makes it extraordinary..Even Adoor failed to provide what Mathilukal as a long story cherishes..Some great works cannot be translated in to another medium/language and i always believed it to be case of basheer..What does pathummayude aadu will be having when it becomes a film?Balyakalasakhi is no exception.....Pramod had the courage to take that challenge,and,I appreciate him for that.Hope i could see the movie soon and still be at his side to defend:)I will continue to oppose all those who are trying to sum up his effort as just 'crap'.

Did anyone say its crap? I dont think so. BKS story thread itself guarantees the film from such a fate. Its perfectly fine to take up such a challenge. As you said, its very difficult to recreate that magic on screen. But when you take up such a challenge, you have to be prepared to face the criticism. I will continue to say that a person with a lot more experience with the medium would have been able to do a far better job. As of now it seeems like he was given 2 hours and asked to fill BKS in a dramatic fashion and further told to trim down.

At the same time, I haven't seen a single opinion from any person who have not put m'Lal in their top 2.
I can write paragraphs abt m'Lal limitations but still none has ever commented in that manner.
