"കടല്* കടന്നൊരു മാത്തുക്കുട്ടി" യിലാണ് ഇതിനു മുമ്പ് ഇരുവരും ഒന്നിച്ചത്. ഒരു കോഴിക്കോട്ടുകാരനായാണ് ചിത്രത്തില്* മമ്മൂട്ടി എത്തുന്നത്. ഒരു മാസ് ആക്ഷന്* ചിത്രമാണിത്. ഒക്ടോബറില്* സിനിമയുടെ ചിത്രീകരണം ആരംഭിക്കും. കോഴിക്കോടാണ് പ്രധാന ലൊക്കേഷന്*. ചിത്രത്തിന്*റെ പേരിനെ കുറിച്ചോ നായികമാരെ കുറിച്ചോ ഇതുവരെയും തീരുമാനമായിട്ടില്ല. ചിത്രത്തെ കുറിച്ച് ഔദ്യോഗിക പ്രഖ്യാപനങ്ങളൊന്നും തന്നെ പുറുത്തുവിട്ടിട്ടില്ല. പാലേരി മാണിക്യം, പ്രാഞ്ചിയേട്ടന്* ദ സെയിന്*റ്, കയ്യൊപ്പ്, മുന്നറിയിപ്പ് തുടങ്ങി മികച്ച ചിത്രങ്ങളാണ് മമ്മൂട്ടി-രഞ്ജിത്ത് കൂട്ടികെട്ടില്* പിറന്ന ചിത്രങ്ങള്*.

Ranjith promises a 'different' Mammootty flick next
Vamban,' the upcoming movie by Ranjith will see the super director and super star Mammootty teaming up again.
Director Ranjith and Mollywood super star Mammootty have gifted a handful of memorable super hits including Pranchiyettan and the Saint in which the ace actor appeared in a completely new avatar. The duo is teaming up again for a new venture titled 'Vamban'.
Though not much about the film has been revealed yet, it is assumed that the movie will be picturised in Kozhikode and would go on floors in October, once Mammootty completes his ongoing project 'The Great Father'.
Vamban would be different from his previous ventures, Ranjith assures. But he refused to divulge more.
Ranjith's latest movie Leela, starring Biju Menon based on R Unni's short story, had received good reviews.
