Actually Bhoothakkannadi and Iruvar was in the same year. Among the best performances of Mammootty and Mohanlal - a megaclash of acting prowesses. Ironically, two different Malayalam actors outside them shared the National Award for the best actor that year.

Ambedkar or Iruvar, Ambedkar for me, it demanded more physical and acting skills comparing the way both the movies were made
Danny was exceptional, haven’t seen Neythukaran, so I can’t compare these 2

Bhoothakannadi or Ambedkar, Bhoothakannadi, not as a film, I am talking only in the perspective of acting

Acting wise and based on the demand of role

Bhoothakannadi > Iruvar > Kaliyattam



For me Bhoothakkanadi was a tougher role compared to Danny, so I favor Bhoothakannadi

Regarding the best performance, I'm not sure whether it's Bhoothakkannadi, Thaniyavarthanam, Oru Vadakkaan Veeragadha, Amaram or Ambedkar!
Definitely one of these. But can't order them!
