what i was trying to convey was with bandra, dileep too seems to to have lost the midas touch., the ability to hold the theatre crowd for first three days (a benchamrk for reigning supertars) is lost.

I thought he's already long gone. a while back. The 2020s is no longer like 2000s now. Audience taste has changed. The usual Dileep formula is outdated and will not work. unless as many stated in the comments, he joins forces with the likes of the new gen comedy stars and ventures into a new genre of comedy.

True that. And honestly, I don’t think the case has nothing to do with it. Look at Jayaram, he never had any controversial issues, and still people likes him, yet his movies don’t click ( I really wish Osler work for him). Dileep has to reinvent himself. Else he will continue to be celebrated for the his movies in his past prime.
