Other problem is the subject, it’s not appealing to at least 50%+ population and the pacing also, that’s not appealing to another mass movie goers …..

Absolutely… Ee character okke cake walk ennu parayunnavar Athile minor gestures and micro level acting okke miss aakki ennu kannadachu parayendi varum….. he entered into the character and did wonders to it…. His body language from starting to end with his wife, was top class…..

Our audience was sensible even during 80's . In fact we were the most sensible when we compare other Southern industries. Many experimental realistic films were superhits and blockbusters too during that time

Now Tamil has evolved with so many experimental movies and new ideas. 80's was only entertainers for them

Telugu is still the same old crap but they are money rich. In terms of entertainment they lead because they have the money to pump in. But in terms of content they are still 20 years behind.

I would say Tamil film has now struck a balance between entertainment and content. They have films made for all types of audience
